Q．Is it possible to choose a tutor when we make a reservation?

A． We are sorry, but it is not possible. 

 
Q．As an international student, I find it difficult to prepare papers in Japanese. Is it possible to ask a tutor to check my Japanese in the session?
A．We can provide Japanese language support for international students if it is not  intended for Japanese language course.   

Q．Is it possible for a faculty member to ask for native check?
A．We are sorry, but it is not possible since we provide language service only for the students.
 
Q．Is it possible to ask for grammar check?
A． Yes, we can provide grammar check for Japanese and English papers. However, we basically focus on the following points rather than grammar or editing.

Q．What can I do if I cannot make a reservation via the web site?
A． Please feel free to visit Academic Writing Center. You can make a reservation in person. We also show you how to use the online reservation system when you visit us.
 
Q．What kind of support can we expect in a session?  　
A． Since we only have 45 minutes in a session, what we can do is limited. We can check one or two pages of A4 size paper or 2000 Japanese letters in a session. Therefore, we will focus on selected points based on the discussion with the student and other tutoring members.
 
Q.  Do we need to pay any fees for the tutoring session?
A.  No, it’s free.
 
Q. Is it possible for a group of students to make a reservation?
A.    Yes, you can make a group reservation if you have a group assignment. However, we cannot discuss different assignments in one session. Please make a reservation for each of the assignments.
 
Q. Is it possible for my friend to join the session as an observer?
A.    Yes, you can come with your friend.
