Academic Writing Center (AWC) was established on October 1, 2017, as part of the AOYAMA VISION project. Writing support began at the Aoyama Campus on the first floor of Building 9 in November 2017, and at the Sagamihara Campus on the second floor of the Mandai Memorial Library in April 2018. From the academic year 2020, online sessions were introduced at both campuses. Aoyama AWC has been relocated to the second floor of Building 18 (Maclay Memorial Hall) as of April 2024.

Tutors responsible for individual support are graduate students studying in the master's and doctoral programs at Aoyama Gakuin university. They undergo training sessions given by full-time faculty members on providing support for academic writing and continue to refine their tutoring skills through their sessions.
