Aoyama Gakuin University’s Academic Writing Center (AWC) was established on October 1, 2017. Both campuses of the university will open AWC offices. The AWC office on the Aoyama Campus was opened in November, 2017, on the first floor of Building #9. The AWC office at the Sagamihara Campus is expected to open in April, 2018, on the second floor of the Mandai Memorial Library.

Each tutoring session at the AWC is conducted person-to-person, by appointment and free of charge. The sessions can deal with academic reports and manuscripts in English or Japanese. The tutors at the AWC are graduate students enrolled in Master’s or Doctoral courses at Aoyama Gakuin University. They have received advanced training by AWC’s faculty members specialized in academic writing.
