For External Users

1.Teaching staff and students of affiliated universities

Aoyama Main library and Sagamihara Mandai Memorial Library

Universities affiliated by Yamanote Line Private University Library Consortium:
Gakushuin University,
Kokugakuinn University,

Meiji University,
Rikkyo University
Students and teaching staff of the affiliated universities can access the library materials. Introduction letter is required to access Aoyama Gakuin Women’s Junior College Library.

Presenting ID card ordinarily allows reading privileges and copying materials to the extent permitted by the Copyright Act. Please note that introduction letter is required during term examination periods such as July and January. Please be sure to the Library schedule or News when you use the Libraries.

  • United Nations University Library

You must first apply for our Library Membership Card at the United Nations University Library.
Bring our Library Membership Card and your ID card.
Borrowing limit: 5 loan books for a month

Aoyama Main Library only

  • The Japanese Red-cross College of Nursing

Staff and students of the Japanese Red-cross College of Nursing are entitled to reading privileges at the main Library in Aoyama Campus.

Sagamihara Mandai memorial Library only

  • Member university libraries of Kanagawa Library Association

Students and university teaching staff who present a Common User Card for University Libraries in Kanagawa can browse library materials and make photocopies at Mandai Memorial Library in Sagamihara Campus. Bring the card and your valid university ID.
In order to apply for the Common User Card for University Libraries in Kanagawa, please refer to your university library.

2. Staff and students other than affiliated universities

Using library materials requires an introduction letter from the library of the university to which you belong and your ID card or University card.
Before your visit, please ask the library of the university to which you belong to contact us by phone or Fax. We will then check and confirm whether the material you wish to access is available in our library stores as well as your visit schedule.

3. For the public

Our Library is not open to the public.
EException is considered if the material that someone from the general public is looking for is exclusively available only in our Library. Such access is prohibited on Sundays, holiday, and during examination periods.
A request must be sent in advance via Fax or e-mail. When visiting our Library, present an introduction letter from public library or library of the institution which you belong to and your ID with proof of photo such as driver license or passport.

※Libraries in Sagamihara city and Mandai Memorial Library have formed an association. Since full access to the library is not allowed, please inquire at the City Library for further details.
